Berlin Februar 2015

Unsere Reise nach Berlin

A group of 27 girls from 2A1 and 2A5 were very fortunate to be able to visit Berlin in February 2015 ! We were accompanied by Ms.O’Brien, Ms Kinsella and Ms.Killackey .

We spent 4 days visiting the major tourist attractions in Berlin ,including the Brandenburger Tor, the Sony Center in the Potsdamer Platz, the Berliner Dom,the Reichstag,Sachsenhausen KZ lager,KaDeWe on the Kufu’damm,Memorial to the Murdered Jews, the Tiergarten,Eastside Gallery ,the Berlin Wall Memorial, the Currywurst Museum, the Assisi Panorama and lots of other stuff too!!!

We learnt so much about Berlin, met some really nice “ Berliners”and managed to use some of our German ! We walked a lot and also used the S-Bahn and U-Bahn to travel around. We were very lucky because we had a  great Guide, Barry McKeon ( Rebecca’s uncle) who lives in Berlin and gave us some great insights about the city and its people.

It’s a trip we will never forget and it has given us real motivation to master the German language so that we can return to work or study in Germany in the future.

The photos and slides give an idea of how much we did and how much fun we had !!  Also check out our blog which we did during trip.
