Berlin 2016
Hier sind zwei Berichte über die Klassenfahrt von Valerie und Aoife
Our journey began when we all met up with Ms.Killackey for our first meeting with our parents to give us information on Berlin.The atmosphere in the room was ecstatic that day. Soon we started having lunch time classes and all of a sudden it was 2am and we were on our way to Dublin Airport . When we arrived in Berlin we were greeted by our tour guide Barry. After a quick bus tour around Berlin , we dropped our luggage off at the Meininger hostel and we were on the move once again. We visited places such as the Reichstag.Brandenburg Gate ,Eastside Gallery , Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp ,many museums and of course the Berlin Wall. Every day was filled with fun and adventures, soaking in the local cultures of Berlin while also improving our German. It was an experience of a life time that we shall never forget.

We flew from Dublin airport to Berlin.
Firstly we got off the plane and got into the tour bus with our guide Barry.We had a Tour of some of Berlin.
On our trip we visited The Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, the Currywurst museum,Sachsenhausen concentration camp, the Alltag in der DDR museum, the Asisi panorama, Checkpoint Charlie,a nuclear war bunker , Hitlers bunker, The memorial of the Jews, a German flee market and the Gedankstatte museum.
We stayed in the Meininger Hotel for 3 nights.We ate out on our last night, in a German restaurant.
We also met a German school over there, and they took us on a walking tour along the Eastside Gallery and told us all about it.
We had the opportunity to speak German everyday like while ordering food and shopping.
It was a fantastic trip.
