My views on the LC HL German 2015

Text 1 :  AS expected for honours  level somewhat demanding but a nice text, nice story, very "doable" . Vocabulary is very accessible . Question 1(d) only one which may trip up students with use of erst, weder..noch and use of vocab that indicate possible reasons to fear flying ! Question 4 has several options for earning marks, cool !
Angewandte Grammatik : Q.1 : no problem but Q 2  was quite difficult ! It is honours afterall !

Text 2: Quite tricky, not as simple as it might appear, time needed to read and re-read to absorb and understand what this Popakademie is!  Q.1 (a) is tricky, hope students see that they must use first person singular in answer.
Q 1(b) quite difficult to find alternative vocab for Geld verdienen or Aufnahmeprüfung, both needed in answer, yet students asked not to write direkt vom Text . I assume some vocab and phrases can be used from text without losing marks provided they are not being directly quoted ?

Äußerung zum Thema
; (a) fairly demanding, need to use Konjunktiv 2  and questions in point 2 to answer well . For point 3 some might think that they would have to mention real unusual futuristic careers to get marks, need to realize that anything is valid provided they are well supported with reasons for choice.
(b) more straight forward but describing the picture isn't easy ! Specific vocab, helmets, goggles, caps , superhero outfits ??
Schriftliche produktion :
Brief : Sprachassistent: I assume that students will get marks for describing past experiences of Sprachassistenten in reaction to Leo's description of his ? Of course the Konjunktiv 2 is necessary here. Why chose between nationalities , an odd question, my students said, they managed though.
What if we didn't" celebrate" Germany's World cup win ? We referred to it, of course in September but  it had happened in June last ! Summercamps ,fine but very old fashioned notion about separate sports for men & women, strange comment from a pretend german-speaking 18 yr old ?
Klamotten-Tausch-Party is nice , more suitable for girls tho'? Again Konjunktiv 2 necessary !
Im Ausland studieren is nice Again KONJUNKTIV 2 necessary.

This letter is demanding but manageable. Takes a lot of time to read, understand what is being asked and then come up with ideas. How is it possible to write a high standard letter in 160 approx?? Demands far more ....

Aufsatz : After quick glance,it appears somewhat easier but very few students go for it because it's usually based on just one theme. I see here they ask about Sport als Pflichtfach, lovely question but many students would not have read that far due to time constraints. Would love to see the Aufsatz becoming more attractive.....3 themes.... call on more personal experience ....
The Aural followed usual structure and was very clear and concise.
Overall a typical LC German HL paper which demands a good knowledge of grammatical structures and vocabulary and an ability to think independently-little room for learnt-off essays or paragraphs or even ideas ! A real test of language !
